Cycling through ancient villages, lush hills, and mineral wines. Explore towns favoured by artists and poets.

Summary:

Embark on a 5-6-night journey through Veneto, where every turn of the pedal reveals a tapestry of breathtaking landscapes, historic towns, and culinary treasures. Starting in the enchanting town of Bassano del Grappa, this adventure takes you beyond the beaten path, immersing you in Italy’s hidden beauty without the crowds.

Spend two captivating days looping through the rolling wine hills toward Marostica and the Colli Asolani, where picturesque vineyards and charming villages await. For those seeking an optional challenge, the legendary Monte Grappa climb offers a test of mettle and breathtaking views, while a relaxed day in Bassano provides the perfect alternative.

The adventure continues south, where the flatlands of Padova give way to the dramatic Volcanic Hills. Ride the quiet perimeter cycle path that winds through ancient woodland, volcanic formations, and serene landscapes. Along the way, savour Veneto’s rustic charm—local wines, farm-to-table cuisine, and the warmth of Italian hospitality ensure every moment is unforgettable.

Whether you’re conquering climbs or savouring the scenery, this is cycling at its most inspiring.

Your Base: Bassano Club House

For the first few nights of your adventure, you’ll call the Bassano Club House home—a vibrant cycling haven located in the heart of Bassano del Grappa’s historic centre. Just steps from the iconic Ponte Vecchio, this new concept store by Basso Bikes combines sleek Italian design with the warm camaraderie of a global cycling community.

Wake up to breakfast overlooking the cobbled streets, and wind down with a post-ride spritz in the villa garden, where tales of climbs conquered and routes discovered are shared. Bassano’s rich history, buzzing piazzas, and panoramic mountain views make it the ideal starting point for your rides, while the Club House ensures every cycling need is met—rental support, expert advice, and even a cycling café to fuel your journey.

After soaking up Bassano’s charms, you’ll head south to an entirely different type of retreat, where the tranquil Volcanic Hills offer a fresh perspective and the perfect backdrop for the next leg of your journey.

Our base package includes everything you need for a seamless and memorable cycling experience—comfortable accommodation, a full itinerary of excitement, and some of the best cycling routes in Veneto.

Meander through olive groves, past cherry orchards, and enjoy quiet roads that offer picture-perfect views at every turn. Return to Bassano in time for a relaxed aperitivo overlooking the Ponte Vecchio.

Asolo and the Colli Asolani

Head south towards Asolo, a town beloved by poets and artists for its beauty and tranquillity. Ride through the Colli Asolani, a scenic region known for its gentle hills and Prosecco vines. Enjoy a leisurely stop to explore Asolo’s historic centre and perhaps indulge in a spritz before returning to Bassano.

Climb Monte Grappa or Relax in Bassano

Take on the legendary Monte Grappa, with or without the beauty of pedal-assistance. Either way, you’re guaranteed to feel a rewarding sense of achievement as you relax at the mountain-top restaurant at 1,775m. Alternatively, enjoy a day off the bike, exploring Bassano’s artisan shops, museums, or simply relaxing by the river.
