Our story began many years ago while living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where a shared sense of adventure brought us together. Meeting amidst the vibrant, bustling life of Southeast Asia sparked our love for exploration and set the stage for a life we’d build around travel, connection, and discovery.
After leaving Thailand, we spent two years working remotely as we explored the world— from exploring rugged trails in Peru to hiking vineyards in Portugal. Each experience deepened our understanding of hospitality, navigating diverse cultures, and, importantly, staying calm and adaptable on the road. Now, we bring this wealth of knowledge to every tour we organise.
While cycling through the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina, the idea for Epic Italy was born. Our plan was simple: blend our passions for cycling, travel, and Italian food & wine into a journey worth sharing. People often tell us that it’s our story and contagious enthusiasm that set Epic Italy apart. Sometimes, it’s not about creating something entirely new, but about building something fuelled by genuine joy and passion – an energy that effortlessly rubs off on our guests.

His strong partnership with Basso, a renowned Italian bicycle brand, guarantees guests ride top-tier bikes for their adventures, making each tour seamless and unforgettable.
Susanna Fongaro
Food and Wine ExpertA sommelier in training, Susi hails from this very region and speaks flawless English. She carefully selects charming accommodations, authentic local eateries, and family-run wineries to offer guests a true taste of the area. Her warm and attentive approach ensures every guest feels cared for from start to finish. With years of experience in digital marketing, Susi has developed video strategies for local food and wine businesses. She also drives the support vehicle, always ready to assist the group and ensure a smooth, enjoyable tour.
Andrea Lucato
Logistics ManagerAndrea is the logistical mastermind behind the scenes at Epic Italy. As your transfer and logistics manager, he ensures everything runs smoothly, from airport pick-ups to on-trip transfers. When he’s not managing the details of your trip, you’ll find him playing bass guitar in a punk rock band—or cracking jokes that’ll keep everyone entertained! With Andrea handling the logistics, you can focus entirely on the incredible rides and experiences.
Sam Williams
Cycling CoachWith a background as an ex-professional cyclist, Sam has been coaching both amateur and pro riders since 2018. His pre-tour coaching helps you make the most of your time on the bike, ensuring you’re prepared to tackle the scenic climbs and ride with ease, all while soaking in the views.
